The Sun Rises and Sets and Andrew Bailey Goes Down With a Lat Strain

Well this is pretty disconcerting. One week into spring training and the oft injured Andrew Bailey is already hurt. The good news is that it’s a mild lat strain and he is said to be not far behind the rest of the staff. It does make you wonder if the Sox can afford going with Bard as a starter. Yes, we do have Melancon but his resume in the AL East is not impressive, and pitching in Fenway Park for a contender is a little different then pitching for the aaa Houston Astros. That being said I do have high hopes for him and think he’s matured a lot since his days with the Yankees.
