Bard Impresses In First Start of the Spring

For the the first time in 5 years Daniel Bard took the mound in the first inning of a game. Today was Bard’s first start  since 2007 when he was in the minor leagues. Bard looked to be in mid season form, striking out two batters while not surrendering a hit. It will be interesting to see how Bard progresses as he is forced to throw more innings throughout the spring. I still think that he is a huge question mark, but it seems at this point the number four spot in the rotation is his to lose.
